You Should Hire Us ……

Elle Zober of Zober Images… Because we work all day everyday to make sure the work we turn out is top quality. (Mind you, perfection is not always a fast process, though always worth the wait!)

… Because we don’t set limits. We don’t limit our vision, we shoot whatever, however and for as long as we feel we need to get the job done right!

… Because we don’t trap you with funky packages that leave you with dozens of 3.5X5’s in a box.

… Because we’re a little crazy… ok, sometimes a lot crazy – but it’s all for the client, we’ll climb a tree, wade in water and holler at some unruly and slightly inebriated groomsmen whenever the situation calls for it.

… Because your crying children DO NOT scare us!

… Because we don’t care as much about getting other work from your wedding as much as we care about making YOU happy.

… Because more than anything, we want you to be happy.

… Because our work speaks for itself.

10 Things You Really Don’t Need To Know About Me….

  1. Despite attending Art School in London, England, I learned almost everything I needed to learn about photography from my 12th grade Journalism teacher, Mr. Lindsey.
  2. I am incredibly likely to misspell the ‘hte’ in an email to you.
  3. I adore my son. Ok, perhaps it’s more than adore, you could say I am literally enthralled by everything he does…be it sleeping, be it bringing piles of dirt into the house because his “friends” live in it… or when he says I love You – it’s all new to me, every minute of every day.
  4. I married my husband after the very long courtship of three solid-&-completely-love-drunk weeks. And my doubting friends… that was six years ago now!
  5. My favorite kids show was called “The Bugaloos” – Sid & Marty Kroft were RAD!
  6. My mother is my best friend.
  7. I am a crappy tourist – I saw all of Paris from the backseat of a car – except for the shopping.. that I did on foot!
  8. I hate the term “bridezilla” (it’s demeaning, crass and unfair in almost all cases!) … though I find the term “photographerzilla” to be somewhat relevant at times!
  9. About 50 lbs. and eight years ago, I was a pretty successful photojournalist living in the UK and the Editor of a magazine in Scotland. I even did all the early work for Snow Patrol… including their first pull out poster!
  10. I used to live in Glasgow – which is THE BEST PLACE on earth – bar none – the BEST PLACE on earth… you should seriously considering honeymooning there. Oh, and I’m a Rangers fan (does that make it 11?)

Top Five People Who ROCK My world

  1. Sidney Zober – my grandfather who served in several wars and captured all of his antics, including some saucy pics of my hot grandma on the beach when they were dating with an old Leica.  He was the coolest!
  2. My brother Zac, who is an officer in the Navy and one of the coolest, oddest, most unusual people you’ll ever meet (PS, he’s cute, single & will wear his whites to any wedding he attends… a single girl magnet!)
  3. Eric Holen, owner of Holland Studios.  He is far and away the best photographer in the Northwest, let alone Portland.  Not only that – but he’s an awesome guy whose work and professionalism continue to both inspire me and turn me slight shades of green with envy.  Check out his studio of some pretty fine photographers and some of the coolest people in this industry at:  www.hollandstudios.com.
  4. Noel Gallagher, because it’s a long story… but he opened the first doors for me in London – and he didn’t have to – everything I am today, I owe in part to Mr. Gallagher.  He is a kind man, and when he believes in someone he really supports them, he’s a true rock star.  Plus, he does great B-Sides.
  5. Melissa & Alex Rix, Brittany & Drew Connant and Laurel & Jared Tomanaha, who were my very first wedding clients when I started my own business.  Their gratitude, encouragement and enthusiasm gave me the courage to keep going, and I am forever in their debts.

Top Ten Favorite Songs of All Time

  1. Star of Track and Field by Belle and Sebastian
This came on a mix-tape from a boyfriend about 70 pounds ago… it was a sweet time. (Yes, I am old enough to have gotten mix-tapes baby!)
  2. Tiny Dancer – the Ben Folds cover… because no one ROCKS it like Ben Folds.
  3. Fascination Street – by the Cure which never needs any explanation.
  4. Masterplan – Oasis.  Noel Gallagher brought back rock and the B-side.  He’s the man, and this song is killer.
  5. Feels Like Today – Rascal Flatts.  This was my song for my son when I was pregnant for him.  I hope I get to dance to it with him at his wedding one day.
  6. She’s The One – Robbie Williams… because he’s totally hot and the best kept British secret as far as Americans are concerned.
  7. Safety – Polar Bear/aka Snow Patrol.  I saw Gary & the lads perform this at their first EP launch in the basement of Cava Studios – and well.. it’s about something oral that isn’t singing and Gary’s Mum was standing just to my left.  Crazy moment – totally amazing song.
  8. I Love You Anyway’s – by Travis.  Another fantastic band that Americans just haven’t caught onto yet.
  9. Anything by Ben Kweller.  He’s the best.. and he has a Bubbie like me!
  10. Everlong  - by Foo Fighters, the acoustic version… because well, Dave Grohl is THE man.
